During this interest meeting we will talk about Saturday of Service and start to brainstorm ideas & delegate roles depending on student interests. The Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. presents Unite For Hope on December 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Nyumburu Multipurpose Room. Our chapter sister's cousin, Virginia Alba, a 19 year old young woman from Bolivia, was recently diagnosed with cancer. She lives in Bolivia, and unfortunately her immediate family does not have the financial means to cover the cost of her chemotherapy. In her short years of living, she has undergone several tribulations. Her mother died when she was born and because of their economic circumstances, Virginia has had to work from a very young age, something common for Bolivian children. With no tools or economic means to help pay for health services Virginia Alba is slowly losing hope. On Thursday, December 7, 2006, the Upsilon Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. will host "UNITE FOR HOPE" to help raise funds to cover Virginia's medical expenses. There will be performances, dancing, and music. So please come out and support the cause and any donation is greatly appreciated. For more information, contact Jessica Saavedra at 240-899-6450 or lta_upsilon@yahoo.com.
